Our founder decided to begin our 10-day countdown by honoring Noah Homayouni, a beautiful soul, teammate, and person. He was a beloved friend and teammate who left such a positive impact on his community, teammates, and everyone around him. Noah was one of those teammates you simply respected for their heart and passion for the game, his drive to improve, and the respect he showed to others. Whenever jersey day arrived, it was a given that Noah would proudly wear the #10 every time. Witnessing his growth as a player was truly inspiring, and he reached such a high level of skill that it was impossible to determine if he was right-handed or left-handed. He was truly the blueprint of hard work and dedication.
In 2020, Noah was tragically taken away from his loved ones. However, his spirit continues to live on through his incredible family, friends, and community. His family has established a remarkable foundation that supports youth lacrosse players, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their participation. Noah's mother, Melissa, graciously informed us that if our youth lacrosse clients have a financial need related to the areas of our focus, their foundation could provide a scholarship for these services. We are immensely grateful to Melissa, and this also exemplifies the type of mother and family Noah was blessed to have. Following Noah's passing, our founder was determined to ensure that Noah's legacy endures, although unsure how to do so at the time. We believe that this is a great start. #NH10
Noah's mother, Melissa, has graciously offered to support in need youth sports players of WeTrain with the Noah Homayouni Lacrossse Foundation. Their goal is to not let finances be a barrier, so kids can experience the beautiful art of sport. Apply below or on our link tree!
Apply here"It took me a long time to figure out my why but when I figured it out it only pushed me harder than ever. I always had a self centered mindset like I wanted to be great but I decided to take a step back and go at it at an angle that I could affect others.
My mom and dad have supported me through my ups and downs and they didn't have the best childhood so it is my goal to not only give back to them but make them proud. There is no way to pay back time so my way of giving back will be to get my scholarship and continue to fight for a starting spot and make a name for myself in college. I have people come up to tell me 'Noah you have motivated me to start working because I've seen how you have just gotten better and better and always kept going.'
I always love to help other people and if I can find a way to show people that anything is possible and be an example to show people to never give up on their dreams I am going to do that. When you find your why it is impossible to be broken because it's bigger than you, and I know everyday that I am going to give it everything I have because of it" ~ Noah Homayouni
Noah left an incredible impact on his family, community, and teammates. We deeply appreciate Melissa for allowing us to honor her son, and not let finances be a barrier by providing WeTrain users with this scholarship opportunity as well. We cannot thank her enough. If you didn't know Noah, we hope you see how special of a person he was, and the type of family he came from.
